Camera Hood

Today I went to Henrys Camera Store in Thornhill to get myself the Canon EW-73B lens hood so that I can prevent any glares from taking pictures in intense sunlight. I also signed up for their advantage card which means another credit card in my hands.

Ford City

I recently took a 3 hour walk to the other side of Windsor which is the Walkerville area and I found this place called "Ford City". It is a very beaten down neighbourhood but apparently prior to 1953 when Ford moved most of its operations to Oakville, this part of town was suppose to be booming. In order to remember their booming past, murals were set up by the city of Windsor. It would also try to revitalize the area. The entire area seems a bit revitalized but there is still this one street where revitalization has been unsuccessful. Click HERE or the picture below to see pictures of the "Ford City" area. The sun wasn't really helping with a lot of the pictures.

My start into the world of photography

After playing with my wife's Canon EOS 5D Digital SLR camera, I immedately became interested in the world of photography. So, on September 17, 2006, I went out to buy the newly released Canon EOS Rebel XTI with the EF-S 17-85 f/4-5.6 IS USM lens. On the same day, I also equipped myself with a B+W UV filter for lenses protection, a Lowepro DSLR camera bag and finally a book called "digital photographer's handbook" by TOM ANG. Now I am ready to start taking photographs.
